From Acid House to Berghaus

The brief

For the launch of the ‘Dean Street’ collection, Berghaus commissioned Proper to create two pieces of video content for retailers Scotts Menswear and The Hip Store. The range celebrated the brand’s unique heritage by rebirthing archival classics from the 1980s, an era Proper happen to know a thing or two about.

How we did it

Our Scotts video saw DJs from two different eras talking about the connection between the past and the present in terms of both music and Berghaus clothing. For Hip, we interviewed leading authority of Berghaus vintage clothing Richard Gill (owner of Bags of Flavor) as well as talking through key pieces of his own personal collection. The interviews featured as an editorial piece in Proper Magazine, before the range sold out at both retailers. All content was extremely well received, and the collection was recently brought back for a second iteration.
